Day Nursery

Each Kiddisafe Day Nursery in Leicester is fully equipped and purpose built with:

  • A toddler room
  • Pre-school room
  • Fully equipped kitchen
  • Office
  • Children’s toilets
  • Large, secure and specifically designed outdoor play area so that children can experience and enjoy a wide variety of outdoor physical play
  • All areas of the nursery are monitored by CCTV and alarms.

Day Nursery

Daily schedule

Our daily schedule offers time for children to participate in both group activities and independent child choice activities. 

A Fresh Morning:

7:30am

  • Our first member of the team, typically a manager, will open up and get the ball rolling ahead of the others.
  • The minimum level of qualification for our practitioners is NVQ Level 3. Beyond this, we have BTEC equivalents and graduates fully qualified and equipped to deliver the highest standard of care.

Welcome:

9:00 a.m. – 9:25 a.m.
  • By now, the rest of the team for this session will have arrived. Along with the manager, we normally have at least two other practitioners in the room at all times to ensure we are always meeting our Ofsted national standards for adult to child ratios.
  • We prepare to welcome all the children in for 8:00am.

Group Time

8:20am

  • Children are free to access all the activities as they please, giving them the chance to develop their own interests and build peer-to-peer relationships.

Snack Time:

9:30am

  • Mealtimes at Kiddisafe tend to be very social occasions. Using the pre-prepared menus and snack provided by parents, we allocate the healthy snacks all around.
  • If you'd like us to provide snack for your little one, all we need is an additional £1 per session.
  • During your registration we asked you about your child's allergens and dietary requirements so, don't worry, we have that covered.

Free Flow:

9:40am

  • In small groups, practitioners use this planned time to meet the Early Year's Learning Goals. For example, name-writing, identifying colours correctly and learning about behaviours and boundaries.

Outdoor Fun:

10:00am

  • Whether it's rain or sunshine, our Kiddisafe little ones are well-equipped to brave any weather!
  • It's a good job we have a part-sheltered outdoor area, so we can marvel at the rain from a safe area when it's a big shower.
  • We always make sure to have weather-appropriate gear on- site so we can stay healthy whilst enjoying the outdoors.

Lunch Time:

11:45am

  • Parents can choose between providing a lunch box or ordering a hot meal for lunch time.
  • We have a set menu for lunch - just ask one of our team about what's on the menu for this week.
  • If you'd like to place an order, just let us know a week before which days you'd like to order for.
  • It is also important that you double check the allergens list to protect others in the session when packing your little one's lunch box.
  • We have a 'need to know' sheet in all rooms so that all practitioners in each session are aware of such requirements.

Care is taken to ensure each child’s needs are individually met and paid attention to, so they can make the most of their learning and playing experience.

We closely follow the EYFS Curriculum to structure our activities and learning so that they may have the best start to school. We provide age-appropriate activities to foster learning through play. Our dedicated outdoor sheltered play area for our little ones with age appropriate toys allows them to safely explore the outdoors at their own pace.

Excellent childcare is vital for you and your child, and here at Kiddisafe we are dedicated in developing and solidifying your child’s first foundational steps. We give them the confidence and support to happily grow and flourish, learn independence, confidence and become educated for their next big steps!
