FAQ

Registering your space
Anywhere from 1 year to 9 months before your child’s start date. This is so you can get the optimal time period of viewing and attending different nurseries and can comfortably register without worry or stress once you are ready.
To enquire, simply click here to complete this form.
You can give us a call to ask any questions you like, or reach out to us on our contact form.
The nursery tour is a great opportunity for you to meet our team and the practitioners that will be looking after and developing your child. This will be the team you will bond and connect with, and we will be sharing amazing memories together as we lovingly see your child grow. You can experience the nursery through its layout and environment, and have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like. If you are happy, we then book a second appointment for you to complete required paperwork and payment to confirm and hold your child’s space with us.
We recommend registering at least 6 months before your child’s start date to avoid missing out on your preferred space. This is to ensure your peace of mind, and you can comfortably join our Kiddisafe community before little one has even started! For example, you can attend our parent-workshops and new-parent stay and plays.
We try to be as accommodating as possible, however to ensure you can get your requirements met, the earlier the better!
We accept all government funding from 9 months to 3 years plus, both 15 and 30 hours.
Please note, we are accepting registrations for working parents of children 9 months olds and above will be eligible for 30 hours government funding from September 2025. To find out if you are eligible, click here to visit the Government website.
We offer full day (8-6pm), or part-days (8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm).
Each setting has differing minimum booking requirements, so it is best to visit us to discuss this.
There is a one-off service fee of £60.00 payable at point of registration. The service-fee helps contribute to consumables and events hosted by the nursery.
Parents are welcome to purchase Kiddisafe uniform T-shirts for their children. Not only does this look adorable, but your valuable clothes and belongings can stay safe and clean at home, whilst their uniform can be played in to their heart’s content!
Settling in/Transitions
We recommend a staggered settling in process to ensure a smooth, comfortable transition into nursery with minimal stress for your little one. Though we recognise every child is different – some children will be quick to settle and may only need one or two days, other children may need a week. Parents are welcome to sit in the room with their child for their first hour. Thereafter, parents can wait in reception during the initial settling in hours.
Baby Room
Within the room there is a designated sleep area, where sanitised sleep mats and blankets are provided. Sleep checks are carried out every 10-15 minutes as per our safe sleeping practice policy.
Yes absolutely, we work closely with you, the parents/carers, to support your little one to achieve developmental milestones, such as holding their own Flo-cup at around 12 months, and to begin eating soft foods by this time.
We recognise that every child is different and provide support accordingly.
Toddler Room
Children begin expanding on the prime areas of the EYFS and are slowly introduced to the additional areas of learning, such as Maths, Understanding the World, Literacy and Expressive Arts and Design. This prepares them for more structured learning that takes place in the pre-school room.
Children are enabled to take naps when and if they feel tired. We work with children and parents/carers to accommodate children who take naps during session times, particularly if they are new to the toddler room.
Pre-School
The pre-school room does just that, gets them ready for school! We cover all the key skills our children need to confidently start school, using our skills-based curriculum.
Pre-schoolers have a designated learning space with more challenging activities, accessible both indoors and outdoors. Our practitioners specialise in learning and development for children 3-5 years, and work closely with parents and families to prepare children for that big transition into full time school.
In the toddler room, we work to develop the skill of using the toilet, so by the time they are ready for pre-school, they can confidently self-care. For those not yet toilet-trained, we support our children and parents/carers as best possible to build these skills in time for school.
General
Little ones are prone to accidents! Especially when they are learning to assess and manage their own risks with expert supervision. Which is why every single practitioner is First Aid trained, and this is renewed every three years. Accidents are shared to parents through our ParentZone App. Any incidents deemed serious such as a bump to the head are reported via phone call to parent immediately.
Children that become sick at nursery, e.g. developing a temperature, are monitored closely and given a quiet space to rest. Parents are contacted if the symptoms worsen and are advised to seek medical assistance where necessary. Parents may be advised to keep their child home for a minimum number of days.
Kiddisafe Transport
Kiddisafe Cars supports our busy parents who are looking for convenient school pick up and drop offs. We know how traffic-inducing and busy the school morning and end of day is – which is why we want to take that stress off your hands. Kiddisafe Cars can:
- Take your children to school in the morning, from home or from Kiddisafe Nursery.
- Drop your children home after school (including after-school clubs).
- Drop your children to our Kiddisafe after-school club, open til 6pm.
